Then I was constantly at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence, rejoicing in his whole world and delighting in mankind.
by Dave Whitehead, Senior Pastor, GraceNYC.orgThis proverb describes wisdom as being with God during creation. We often see wisdom as a pragmatic way to try to live the “good life”, but do we see wisdom as bringing delight and joy to us? The first lie in the Garden of Eden was that God was holding out on humanity and we needed to take things into our own hands, but if we are willing to resist that lie and seek after God’s wisdom, we won’t be resigned to a boring, miserable life. On the contrary, God’s wisdom is exciting and joyful. His wisdom brings life to the fullest.
